Over the past month, I’ve been experimenting with black-and-white photography. Unlike last year, this year hasn’t been solely black-and-white for me, but whenever I get out to shoot, I try to look through black-and-white eyes (and displays).
This year has kept me closer to home than usual. Limited time, a minor foot injury, and the family schedule have conspired to slow me down.
In addition to refining my eye for black-and-white, I’ve been stepping outside my usual practice of aiming for perfectly exposed, sharply focused images. Experimenting with imperfect exposures and focus is letting me capture a new look.
I feel like I have not yet come far yet, but here’s a look at my journey so far.
Looks great, keep it up! There's something special about black and white.
I really like the second photograph where children are playing?!
