Got to go with the pay phone, but all great

I had bad Internet when I first read this so I couldn't see the images. I eagerly waited to see what the mirror on the wall was about (and how I would go about editing it) and no, it's a very inviting subject but lacking an environment or context (even just reflections) to find a good composition there.

Of your reflective surface double exposures I believe the one with the truck appearing as it might be driving into a sports athletic (?) store is genuinely good.

Thanks for the reinforcement re: mirrors Dane.

For the pickup truck: I am shooting into the plexiglass barrier around an outside patio (with wood roof) of a burger and beer place. The pickup truck and streets and sign are all behind me being reflected.

The pay phone is a fascinating subject as a relic of the past. It’s interesting in way, that you were able to find one at all. I’ve come across places where you can tell a pay phone once existed. For the reflection, I would say the first image. Is that inside the Caltrains station?

Great comment! I have a LOT to say about payphone photography... and payphone spaces. I will try to write about that this week, thanks for the nudge.

Yes, a bunch of the photos are at The Burlingame CalTrain station. Are you nearby.

Sorry for the delay in responding, I was away from my photo life for a few days.

No problem, no I am in DC but I grew up in San Mateo County. I know that Caltrains station well by the Broadway Burlingame sign and the Acura dealer.

When I was student at Burlingame High in the early 2000s, there was a pay phone behind the columns at the front entrance. I imagine that it isn't there anymore.

Thanks for sharing. I remember seeing these before but I think you made some changes from the last time I saw them. It sounds like it is an ongoing project. My favorites are the images with signs. I also like the old apartment buildings like the Marquis that look like they are from the 1950s. Such architecture has a certain nostalgia that I enjoy capturing as well.
