A few weeks ago I got to go to the Art of Noise exhibit at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) with my mom and a 2007 Canon SD950.
Spending the day with my mom was great and getting to rediscover the joys of a pocket digital camera was delightful.
I love photographing in museums but it raises an interesting dilemma. If I am taking pictures of art, am I adding anything or is the original artist doing all the heavy lifting? Do you photograph art? If so, what do you think about when trying to make new art from old?
my maths doesn't get that 17 years old but that is not important.
check out this post by julia thorne for a different view on what means to photograph art:

Great stuff as always--fantastic photos. And I must say, I see the family connection there!
