A car parked near my house four months ago and has not moved.
After a few weeks of walking past it, I wondered if it had been dumped there and if should call it in under the 72-hour maximum parking rule. But, it was parked in a carefully chosen spot that was not in front of anyone’s house and not bothering anyone. So I left it.
And then the more I walked by it the more I realized it was a great photo subject —especially because I had been trying (unsuccessfully) to take car pictures over the past few years.
Once the community college photo course I am taking got to its documentary photography module, I realized this was the perfect subject. Over three months I shot about 300 photos of it and also did some digging to figure out what car it was.
