A car parked near my house four months ago and has not moved. After a few weeks of walking past it, I wondered if it had been dumped there and if should call it in under the 72-hour maximum parking rule. But, it was parked in a carefully chosen spot that was not in front of anyone’s house and not bothering anyone. So I left it.
Thanks. The first ~180 were taken over 6-8 different days mostly 10 AM to 4 PM. Then after reviewing with my teacher I went out another ~3 times early in the morning for the rest. Usually just before sunrise (or at least before the sun was on the street) then a few as the sun first came out. The one at/near the end with the bright hood was taken as the light was starting to hit the street. The mid-day ones did a nice job of illuminating the interior… but also caused lots of (sometimes unwanted) reflections.
Thanks. At first, that wasn’t sure how I can take enough different pictures of the same car to make something interesting. But as I shot and shot and shot, it began to see different things in the car that interested me and then started to capture them. I feel like some of these aren’t great photographs. But, it was really more an exercise in seeing then in photography.
I love the way you have used light for some of the shots. They look beautiful! What time of the day were these shots?

Great idea to turn the car into a photo series.

Well, it worked out well.
Hard to imagine this car still works. You caught some beautiful light in your photographs.
