I'm a San Francisco-based urban photographer. I love the energy, architecture, and details of cities. Random Capture chronicles my journey and showcases my work. I hope you will come along with me as I continue to learn, grow, shoot, and share.
I love these. During the pandemic lockdown I was able to walk along the roads near my house because there was so little traffic. I always took a camera along as I thought it would be a good time to practice. I am not a landscape photographer but I was drawn to the idea of
documenting the houses along tne road which seemed such good and diverse and typical examples of the kinds of American homesteads and dwellings one finds in my part of the country where an area that was mostly farms a generation or so ago are becoming suburbia. And of course the light and vegetation drew me too. Seeing your pictures makes me think some of mine though perhaps more ordinary might be of interest to someone else too.
Thanks! Very nice offer. It's not published in a public place. I'll get back to you after I have a chance to organize and make it accessible online which may take a few weeks.
Great shots, the British phone box caught me off guard! Everything else felt so foreign having lived in the U.K. all my life so to suddenly get whipped back to something that was round the corner was rather odd!
Beautiful colors, Josh!
Thanks! I was trying out fuji film simulations/jpegs vs. my usual RAWs but not sure if it was that or just the nice light up here.
It might be both, Josh.
The yellow house, beautiful light!
The yellow house -- right on!

Love this! Did you put them up anywhere? Would love to see them.
p.s. I could also post them as a guest post/response.

Nice. They pop up occasionally. Usually inside a pub or science museum or store etc. always a treat.
Fantastic, Josh! Love the second image!
Can't beat the Cup of Love!
I really like the Cup of Love Shot
Such personality these structures have. Nice selection.
